Job Description & Summary

As Regulatory Matter Lead in PwC’s Office of General Counsel, you will lead the firm’s response to regulatory matters and help build strong, transparent relationships with regulators. You will work closely with senior leaders, risk and compliance teams, and stakeholders across the business to provide clear, pragmatic legal advice that supports informed, risk-based decisions.

What you’ll do:

• Support strong and transparent relationships with regulators.
• Respond to regulatory requests and investigations cooperatively.
• Assist with the review, legal analysis and preparation of advice to internal business clients on a variety of matters, working closely with risk and compliance teams.
• Provide focused and pragmatic solutions to address legal risk and business problems.
• Act as an effective conduit between the business and regulators, clearly explaining the regulatory purpose of certain actions and ensuring issues are fully explored and considered.

What we’re looking for:

Core skills

• Proven experience and track record in developing cooperative and transparent regulatory relationships.
• Strong understanding of the practices and processes of regulators relevant to PwC’s business, with the ability to educate internal stakeholders and support alignment and resolution where needed.
• Excellent listening skills, with the ability to respond appropriately to feedback from regulators and stakeholders.
• Experience and confidence working with senior management, including strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to draft clear and precise legal documents and communications.
• Excellent interpersonal and commercial skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence with impact.
• Ability to identify critical issues, assess and articulate legal risks, including likelihood and impact, so the business can make informed, risk-based commercial decisions.
