Cloud networks are the connective tissue that allows applications, users, and services to work together securely. As a Network Engineer, you’ll help integrate Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments with enterprise network services and build the reliable connectivity needed to support mission-critical systems.

 

In this role, you’ll work across cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, network segmentation, routing, security, and performance. You’ll help design and operate network solutions that connect cloud environments to enterprise systems while maintaining strong security controls, dependable performance, and operational visibility. 

 

You’ll collaborate with network architects, cloud engineers, security professionals, infrastructure teams, and customer stakeholders to solve complex connectivity challenges. What You’ll Work On: 

• Integrate commercial cloud environments with enterprise network services and security architectures. 
• Design, deploy, secure, and operate OCI networking solutions. 
• Connect OCI environments to enterprise networks using FastConnect, site-to-site IPSec VPN, Dynamic Routing Gateways, and approved network-transit architectures. 
• Implement VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists, network security groups, gateways, private endpoints, and segmented network designs. 
• Configure and manage BGP, route advertisement and filtering, IP address management, DNS, NAT, proxies, firewalls, high availability, and network monitoring. 
• Troubleshoot routing, DNS, firewall rules, network security groups, certificates, MTU, latency, and packet-loss issues. 
• Apply least-privilege connectivity and Zero Trust network-segmentation principles. 
• Develop network diagrams, connectivity designs, test procedures, runbooks, and stakeholder communications.

You Have: 

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering, cloud networking, or network security
• Experience integrating commercial cloud environments with enterprise network services and security architectures
• Experience designing, deploying, securing, and operating OCI networking solutions
• Experience integrating OCI with enterprise networks using FastConnect, site-to-site IPSec VPN, Dynamic Routing Gateways, and network-transit architectures 
• Experience implementing VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists, network security groups, gateways, private endpoints, and segmented network designs. 
• Experience with BGP, route advertisement and filtering, IP address management, DNS, NAT, proxies, firewalls, high availability, and network monitoring
• Experience implementing least-privilege connectivity and Zero Trust network segmentation
• Ability to document designs, test procedures, operational runbooks, and security requirements and troubleshoot complex routing, DNS, firewall, certificate, MTU, latency, packet-loss, and connectivity issues
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelor’s degree

 

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with network automation and infrastructure as code, including Terraform, OCI Resource Manager, Ansible, APIs, or scripting
• Experience with network observability platforms, flow logs, SNMP, packet capture, NetFlow, dashboards, and alerting
• Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise networks or network security assessments in a government or regulated environment
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, white box routers, switches, or comparable networking platforms
• Experience designing networks for virtualized, containerized, hybrid cloud, or highly available environments
• Architecture, Security, Networking, or Cloud Operations Associate- or Professional-level OCI Certification

 

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
