Description
About Hello Church
Hello Church helps churches reach new people and turn those connections into genuine belonging.
Instagram and Facebook advertising is the first step. We help churches reach people in their communities who are looking for a church home.
From there, we provide and support software designed to help churches move people into meaningful next steps like joining a group, joining a serve team, being baptized, or giving.
At our core, we're building tools and systems that help churches connect with more people and help more people find belonging in a local church.
The Role
We’re looking for an Account Manager who can take ownership of a group of church clients and build strong, trusted relationships with them.
This is not primarily a sales role or a marketing-strategy role. It is a relationship-management role.
The Account Manager will be responsible for making sure the churches that the Account Manager serves feel cared for, communicated with, and proactively managed. Will help clients get the most out of Hello Church, anticipate problems before they become bigger issues, and keep the many details of each account moving forward without constant oversight.
The person who thrives in this role is both highly relational AND extremely organized. Both are non-negotiables.
Just as importantly, you understand churches. One can communicate naturally with pastors and church leaders because church culture, ministry language, and the realities of leading a church are already familiar to the Account Manager.
5 Outcomes The Account Manager will Own
1. Churches that love us and stick around
This bucket is about proactive relationship work that keeps clients loyal and renewing.
Check-ins, hand-offs, open communication. Nailing it looks like churches bragging about you at
their next staff meeting.
2. Customers that CRUSH the core product
The ob is turning "we expect ads to magically grow our church" into churches that nurture
relationships and actually convert leads into guests into members. Excellence means churches
that do their part well, with the account manager as their guide.
3. The “Already Handled” experience
The "Already Handled" Experience: The Account Manager is the second pair of eyes nobody sees, catching the
spark before it's a fire. Nailing it means the client never even smells the smoke.
4. Software that rocks (because we do)
This bucket is all about helping churches get the most out of the software. Excellence means
churches that stay organized, engaged with their contacts, and on top of every conversation.
5. Boring Done Beautifully
The unglamorous, recurring stuff - Trello notes, change requests, reporting - done like
clockwork, every time. Nailing it means every routine task happens on cue, with nothing falling
through the cracks.
What We’re Looking For
The strongest candidates will bring two important pieces of experience:
Account management or client success experience - has previously owned ongoing client relationships, not simply handled customer service requests or administrative tasks. Comfortable managing expectations, following up, solving problems, communicating proactively, and keeping multiple client relationships healthy at the same time.
Meaningful church experience - understands how churches work and can naturally communicate with pastors and church leaders. Does not need to have worked professionally for a church, but one's involvement should be significant enough that church culture and ministry dynamics feel familiar.
Beyond those two things, one is:
Highly relational and naturally warm with clients
An excellent written and verbal communicator
Organized, dependable, and good at follow-through
Proactive rather than waiting for problems to appear
Comfortable managing many relationships and details at once
Efficient and able to get a lot done without creating unnecessary complexity
Comfortable learning software and working inside digital systems
Able to take ownership without requiring constant direction
Marketing experience is helpful, but it is not more important than strong account-management experience, relational ability, organization skills and church familiarity.
Location
Location is less important than finding the right person. Much of our team works remote.
What Success Looks Like
Ultimately, the question is this: Can one take ownership of a portfolio of Hello Church clients and make us confident that those churches are being cared for, communicated with, and proactively managed without leadership needing to constantly check behind you?
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
Our Hiring Process
Each candidate will be asked to submit a short video, no longer than 3 minutes, answering 5 questions about why the role interests them, their understanding of Hello Church, how they approach client relationships, their personal approach to time management, and the kind of environment in which they do their best work.
Candidates who move forward will also complete a short working-style assessment and a practical account-management exercise before a live interview.
