Description

We are looking for a Customer Education Trainer to support our Life Sciences & Healthcare customers, with a focus on our discovery and preclinical solutions.

This individual will report into the Director of Education and should possess both a strong scientific background and exceptional communication skills. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping researchers, scientists, and R&D professionals maximize the value of Clarivate solutions while supporting the adoption of AI-assisted workflows and emerging technologies.

Working with sales, customer success and product managers, this individual will deliver customer-facing product trainings, increasingly centered on our AI-assisted workflows. 

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Drug Discovery, Preclinical Research, or a related scientific discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Strong scientific knowledge with the ability to confidently discuss research workflows, scientific concepts, and preclinical R&D processes with researchers and scientists.

  • Experience translating complex scientific or technical information into easily understandable content. 

It would be great if you also have… 

  • Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, particularly in the discovery and preclinical R&D space. 

  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) in your own work. 

  • Familiarity with generative AI concepts. 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills. 

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. 

  • Experience presenting to diverse audiences, ranging from one-on-one customer sessions to larger virtual or live training events.

What will you be doing in this role? 

  • Develop high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of diverse customer personas, showcasing real-world workflows, use cases, product value and AI-enabled capabilities. 

  • Deliver engaging customer training sessions, for audiences of all sizes, that drive product adoption, customer success and business outcomes. 

  • Educate customers on AI-powered capabilities and effective prompting in order to build customer confidence and trust in AI-assisted workflows. 

  • Support the development of in-product and self-service learning experiences, including AI-assisted learning content and scalable onboarding resources. 

  • Partner with customer success and account management teams to prioritize customer activities and to identify additional service needs. 

  • Work closely with product management to communicate customer feedback and influence product development. 

  • Maintain deep expertise in Clarivate solutions, industry trends, and emerging applications of AI within life sciences research and development. 

  • Leverage AI tools in your own workflows and help identify best practices for the team. 

  • Ability to travel to client sites for training.

The Customer Education team is a global group responsible for helping Clarivate customers maximize the value of our solutions, resulting in strong usage, adoption and customer retention We combine instructor-led training, digital learning experiences, in-product guidance, and AI-powered engagement strategies to help customers achieve their goals. As Clarivate continues to expand AI capabilities across its portfolio, Customer Education plays a critical role in helping customers understand, adopt, and realize value from both our core products and emerging AI-driven solutions

Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.  

  • Hybrid position working in the office 2-3 days a week.

Compensation

The expected base salary for this position is $68,000 - $85,000 USD per year.  This role is eligible for bonus earnings.  Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
