**Backroom Associate – Marshalls**

**Position Summary**

As a Backroom Associate, you play a key role in keeping our store stocked and running smoothly. You’ll process incoming merchandise, organize the stockroom, prepare products for the sales floor, and support a clean, efficient, and safe backroom environment. This position may also involve cross-training in other store areas to meet business needs.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Receive, unload, and process truck deliveries accurately and efficiently.

- Sort, tag, hang, secure, and prepare merchandise according to company standards so it is ready for the sales floor.

- Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment and efficient inventory flow.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom area at all times.

- Support sales floor recovery and restocking as needed.

- Follow all merchandising, operational, and loss-prevention procedures.

- Communicate effectively with managers and team members about priorities and progress.

- Uphold safety standards and participate in store shrink-reduction efforts.

- Provide friendly, helpful service when interacting with customers or co-workers.

- Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.

**What We’re Looking For**

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

- Reliable team player who works well with others.

- Good communication skills.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and early mornings (truck days often start early).

- Ability to lift heavy objects (typically up to 50 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation, and to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.

- Retail, warehouse, stockroom, or related experience preferred but not required — we provide training.

This position has a starting pay range of $13.50 to $14.00 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
