The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability as well as automating deployment of infrastructure through infrastructure as code. This role involves working closely with other IT professionals to develop and maintain cloud-based solutions that meet the company’s objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services. This includes selecting appropriate cloud services, creating architecture diagrams, and developing automation scripts.
- Deploy new applications to the cloud and migrate existing applications to modern cloud services.
- Monitor the performance of cloud-based systems and optimize resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and high availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise and be part of responding to any outages.
- Support in the design and architecture of new solutions such as new applications, networking and systems or re-design to enhance current applications, networking and systems.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures to protect data and applications from unauthorized access and potential security threats.
- Document the architecture of the environment, train other team members and create standard operating procedures for team members as well as other IT Teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, relative field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Minimum four (4) years of experience working in Cloud Engineering, Software/Network Engineering, Computer and Information Science, and/or related field.
- Advanced knowledge and experience documenting infrastructure and setting standards and procedures
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI), Cloud Strategy, Design, Architecture, and Migration
- Advanced knowledge and experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Advanced knowledge and experience with troubleshooting Line-of-Business applications, Incident, Problem and Change Management
- Exhibits excellent verbal, written, and executive presentation skills;collaborates effectively to facilitate progressive change;maintains a strong quality and results orientation;and implements process improvement changes with leadership direction.
Compensation
The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $105,322.00 to $131,652.00 Annually. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.Additional Compensation
This position is eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus.Perks and Benefits
