Description
A Carter Lumber Multi Family Coordinator is responsible for supporting the multi-family sales team and delivering excellent customer service to contractors. This role involves acting as a central point of contact for multi-family sales representatives and contractors by providing guidance, coordinating bid schedules, and processing quotes and orders. Key responsibilities include handling sales transactions, overseeing multifamily billing and estimate processes, and facilitating communication. Success in this position requires alignment with the company's mission and goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales and customer service.
- Familiarity and experience in the building materials industry, specifically in multi-family construction.
- Working knowledge of door manufacturing, millwork, and trim products preferred.
- Understanding of the Multifamily construction process, including project schedules, material requirements, and customer and installed-sales team needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, friendly, and customer-focused approach.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, Google Sheets, Smartsheet).
Sales & Customer Relationships:
- Foster strong relationships with contractor clients through exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with members of the multi-family sales team.
- Coordinate bid schedules and maintain organized project information to support timely responses.
- Coordinate communication between customers and internal teams to keep projects on schedule.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Process customer orders and help ensure required materials are available and scheduled for timely shipment or delivery.
- Maintain and coordinate door truck and delivery schedules based on project timelines and customer requirements.
- Track material availability and notify relevant parties of any shortages or delays.
- Assist in resolving customer questions, order discrepancies, delivery issues, and other project-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to customer orders, projects, pricing, estimates, and deliveries.
- Organize, update and maintain MultiFamily estimate log(s)
- Support the multi-family sales team in achieving sales and profit objectives
- Identify areas for personal growth and development
- Participate in mandatory orientation and safety training
- Stay up to date on products, processes, and industry trends
- Keep current on changes to products, procedures, and company policies to provide accurate information and effective support to customers and the sales team.
