Maxcess Oklahoma City hiring a Material Handler to join our team!
Primary Responsibility:
Load, unload, and move material within plant or work site to provide support to our internal teams and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs purchase order and job receipts of material
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials received or issued with critical attention to detail and accuracy
- Performs cycle counts on regular basis
- Picks and issues material to jobs
- Delivers backorders and materials to various departments
- Loads and unloads materials from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
- Prepares intercompany packing lists
- Attaches identifying labels and/or tags or marks containers with identifying information
- Knows, understands, and follows proper safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job.
- Long periods of standing; frequent walking
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasionally climbing ladders to heights of approximately 25 feet
- Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Frequently lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods
- Basic computer and computation skills
- Good focus and attention to detail
