Bakery Assistant – Charing Cross, London
Full-time, Permanent | 5 days per week | Early starts from 5:30am / 6am

We are recruiting for a distinctive London bakery and patisserie brand, known for its handcrafted doughnuts, pastries and beautifully finished sweet creations.
This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in a bakery, kitchen, café or food production environment who wants to develop their baking skills, learn new techniques and progress within a professional bakery team.
What You'll Be Doing
Working alongside an experienced production team, you'll be involved in the preparation, baking and finishing of a range of bakery and patisserie products, including:
- Preparing and baking croissants, danishes, pastries and sweet baked goods
- Preparing ingredients, fillings and toppings
- Glazing, filling, icing and piping finished products
- Following recipes and production processes to ensure consistent quality
- Using bakery equipment including ovens and mixers
- Keeping your workstation clean, organised and ready for production
- Developing your skills and gradually learning more advanced baking techniques
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with food, takes pride in their work and is genuinely keen to learn and progress.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a bakery, café, kitchen, food production or similar environment
- Some hands-on baking or food preparation experience
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes accurately
- A reliable, proactive approach and good time management
- Good basic spoken English
- A real interest in baking and developing your skills further

The role is 5 days per week, including weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota. Shifts are typically 8–9 hours, with early starts from approximately 5:30am / 6am.
