Job Summary
As a recognized technical expert in Functional Safety within CTO Functional Safety team, you perform technical assessments and Peer Reviews of the safety related semiconductor products under development (SoC). You are also deeply involved in System Safety Solution developments and drive cutting-edge innovation topics.
Responsibilities
- Perform the ISO26262 Functional Safety assessments for Software products
- Manage Technical Peer Reviews, Safety concept and Safety analysis (FTA, SW FMEA, DFA) on project upon request from BL / PL Safety Manager.
- Drive cutting-edge innovation topics for Safety SW
- Maintain / Enhance the Safety Culture within the company - Evangelize the Functional Safety approach across organizational boundaries and with management.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required
Skills Required
- Demonstrated strong technical leadership with the ability to influence, persuade, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- Comfortable working with the ambiguity inherent in implementing new technologies, complex Functional Safety products
- Proven capability to engage and enroll both technical and business stakeholders, including internal engineering teams and external customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with technical contributors, business leaders, customers, and executive management.
Experience
- An intimate knowledge of ISO-26262 (or other safety standard)
- 12+ years’ experience in embedded systems and software development
- Experience in SW requirements, architecture and design for safety products
- Good understanding of the responsibility sharing between supplier and OEM with respect to product safety
- Recognized as a technical leader in his/her previous experiences
- Desirable: Driven or involved in Safety assessment, confirmation reviews, verification reviews
Education
Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 12+ years of industry experience.
