Utility Worker - Temporary

Under the general supervision of the Public Works Supervisors this position performs a variety of manual, semi-skilled, and equipment operation tasks in the construction, maintenance and operation of city facilities. Position performs a variety of manual labor including but not limited to: weed whacking, brushing, watering, trimming of trees, shoveling, as well as a variety of other tasks assigned by the storm, streets, environmental, and water departments.Position performs a variety of manual labor including but not limited to: weed whacking, brushing, watering, trimming of trees, shoveling, as well as a variety of other tasks assigned by the storm, streets, environmental and water departments.

• Qualified applicants must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
• Successful candidate must have the ability to follow written and oral instructions and be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with others.
• Successful candidate must pass pre-employment background check.
