Engineer

The role is responsible for keeping guest rooms, public areas, and building systems in safe, functional, and attractive conditions. The work is typically broad, requiring skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance. 5 shifts per week, days can vary, either 8-4:30 or 3-11:30 with some flexibility needed from time to time on day and time. Position can include overnight shift.

Engineers play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and structural systems within a hotel facility. You will help create a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Engineer Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure they are in working condition.

· Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, and equipment failures, and take necessary actions to mitigate the impact on guests and staff.

· Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and maintain hotel equipment, including boilers, chillers, elevators, and fire safety systems, to ensure their reliability and safety.

· Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and work orders to track maintenance history and plan for future maintenance needs.

· Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards promptly.

· Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to hotel staff on safety procedures and equipment operation to promote a safe working environment.
