Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Manager to oversee and manage all on-site activities for Hitachi Rail projects in Romania, specifically for the Craiova and Caransebes projects.

This role involves ensuring the successful execution of projects according to specifications, timelines, and budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Job Responsibilities:

* Lead, manage, and supervise all on-site personnel and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
* Plan, organize, and direct daily site operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
* Ensure strict adherence to project plans, engineering specifications, quality control procedures, and all relevant health and safety regulations.
* Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance, identifying and mitigating potential cost overruns.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies on-site.
* Prepare and submit regular progress reports, daily logs, and other required documentation.
* Identify and resolve site-related issues, challenges, and conflicts promptly and effectively.
* Implement and enforce Hitachi Rail's safety protocols and environmental policies.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
* Manage the procurement and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment to site.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in site management within the rail or large-scale infrastructure industry.
* Strong understanding of railway systems, construction methods, and project management principles.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to construction.
* Fluent in Romanian and English, both written and spoken.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites within Romania as required.
* Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
