Description
This position is responsible for the conformal coating and bonding of assemblies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform coating operations such as masking, unmasking, and touchup.
- Use assembly specific documentation, including routes, bills of material, and prints to process a variety of backplanes.
- Work with chemicals such as IPA, acetone, urethane, coating materials, etc.
- Understand and follow all process control specifications.
- Perform in-process inspections with a clear understanding of acceptance and rejection criteria.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement work.
- This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
- Comply with department specific safety rules and general Amphenol policies.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and follow all short sheets/customer documents.
- Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 25 lbs. safely.
- Must have excellent communication skills and ability/flexibility to work in a fast paced environment.
- Current IPC-A-610 certification preferred.
