Production Technologist

Join our Production team as a Production Technologist and play an important role in supporting reliable, high-quality manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work closely with departmental specialists to support and manage defined product manufacturing processes, ensuring activities are completed accurately, safely and within agreed timelines. This is an excellent opportunity for a scientifically minded individual who is keen to develop practical experience in a regulated production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the execution and day-to-day management of assigned upstream and downstream manufacturing processes under the guidance of the Production Manager and technical specialists.
• Follow approved standard operating procedures and established manufacturing practices to complete production activities accurately and consistently.
• Maintain clear, timely and accurate records of all production activities, observations and process-related actions.
• Monitor and analyse process yields, identifying and escalating variances or potential issues in line with established procedures.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting and problem-solving activities, contributing to the timely resolution of process or operational issues.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Production team while managing priorities and completing assigned tasks within agreed timeframes.
  

Job Requirements

• A relevant scientific qualification, such as biotechnology, biochemistry, biology, pharmaceutical science or a related discipline.
• Good scientific understanding of upstream and downstream manufacturing processes.
• Strong laboratory skills and a demonstrated ability to follow detailed procedures carefully.
• Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to accurate documentation and record keeping.
• Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A proactive and dependable approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
