2026-09-30JOB PURPOSE:
Work in the Scene Shop building sets and preparing lights for Theatre Department Productions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with other students on the construction and painting of theatrical sets.
Hang and focus lighting equipment for productions.
This is a challenging position that offers many practical work skills. You will gain experience with carpentry, metalworking, painting and lighting.
On the job training is provided. While the position is open to all, students with theatrical or general building experience will get preference.
Ability to honor and work with all individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College.
SCHEDULE:
Shop is open Noon to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
Individual schedules will be based on student availability.
RATE OF PAY:
$16.80 per hour for new students.
Yearly raise for returning students.
WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT:
Federal or Lewis and Clark Work Study funding required.
Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds.
Must be able to go up and down stairs.
Must be comfortable working at heights (ladders and personnel lift)
