Job Summary
TYLin is seeking a Senior Specialist for our Pursuits + Work Winning team supporting the Buildings sector. This role will lead proposal and pursuit activities for multidisciplinary building design, engineering, and consulting opportunities. You will develop market-leading, client-focused content and high-quality submissions that position TYLin for success across regions and practices.Responsibilities & Qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead proposal development for Buildings pursuits and work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality, accuracy, compliance, and schedule commitments.
- Collaborate with a marketing manager, pursuit team, and internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to prepare high-quality TYLin and Introba proposals focused on accuracy, messaging, differentiation, and compliance.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator and Buildings technical leaders to support sector priorities, proposals, qualifications, and related work-winning initiatives.
- Lead responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Qualifications/Supplier Qualifications (RFQ/RFSQ), and Requests for Tenders (RFT), including schedules, kick-off/check-in meetings, compliance matrices, content development, reviews, document control, quality assurance, and submission.
- Lead proposal debriefs and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying lessons learned, recommending process enhancements, and contributing to the development of proposal tools, templates, and best practices.
- Coach and develop Coordinators through proposal reviews, knowledge sharing, and on-the-job training to strengthen proposal quality and support career development.
- Lead interview preparation for shortlisted Buildings pursuits, including presentation development, rehearsals, materials, and support to technical teams delivering compelling, client-focused presentations.
- Edit content for grammar, consistency, technical accuracy, tone, and alignment with applicable TYLin and Introba style, branding, and pursuit best practices.
- Obtain support from other departments (including HR, finance, legal, and technical) as required in preparing the proposal.
- Tailor pursuit materials including organization charts, resumes, project descriptions, proposal narratives, executive summaries, cover letters, team qualifications, and promotional materials.
- Develop and maintain building marketing resources including resumes, boilerplate, project descriptions, qualifications, capability statements, presentations, brochures, and awards. Ensure files are stored properly in corporate systems in accordance with best practices.
- Create and update Buildings- and client-specific capability statements, qualifications packages, and presentations reflecting the combined strengths of TYLin and Introba.
- Partner with Buildings technical staff across disciplines to translate technical information into clear, persuasive, client-focused messages and marketing collateral.
- Research target Buildings markets, clients, competitors, and opportunities as directed, and share relevant pursuit intelligence with regional and sector teams.
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff to continuously enhance deliverables and the working environment.
- Conduct and coordinate a range of marketing support activities as directed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, as required, to meet proposal schedules and critical submission deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of post-secondary education in related field, or years of equivalent experience demonstrating progressive responsibility.
- 5+ years of relevant proposal, technical writing/editing, or marketing experience. AEC industry experience, particularly with Buildings, architecture, building engineering, or multidisciplinary design pursuits, is strongly preferred.
- Ability to analyze RFP/RFQ requirements, identify evaluation and compliance criteria, and organize a relevant, thoughtful, client-focused response.
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong focus on document and proposal quality.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word and strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign and Acrobat; Illustrator and Photoshop knowledge is preferred.
- Experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, OpenAsset, or similar CRM and marketing information systems is considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and clients.
