Position Description: Quality Assurance Inspector
The main objective of a Quality Assurance Inspector at LayerZero Power Systems, LLC. is to ensure that products meet predefined standards and meet and/or exceed customer expectations. Duties may include measuring products compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests, and identifying defects. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
Requirements
Primary Duties:
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
- Ensures all product quality specifications are met by inspecting samples from each lot for defects.
- Communicate with employees to ensure that job functions are carried out with respect to quality.
- Train and observe employees while using measuring equipment, ensuring such equipment is in good condition, calibrated and is being used properly.
- Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; rejecting unacceptable materials.
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; communicating rejection issues per company procedures.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement verifications.
- Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports and rejection documents as required. When products pass inspection, inspectors sign off on the work order/inspection documents.
- Inspects assemblies for completeness and accuracy; performs final checks on completed products.
- Perform calibrations to the measuring equipment as per annual calibration plan.
- Perform LPA (Layered Process Audits) to the production floor as programmed.
Experience & Skills:
- Ability to use hand-held tools and electronic devices to perform job duties, including micrometers, calipers, and Torque Wrenches.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
