The Marketing Manager will lead market development and commercialization for Heart Recovery across priority Rest of APAC growth markets. Reporting to the APAC Marketing Head, the role has primary responsibility for expanding Impella adoption in Korea and Taiwan, with secondary responsibility for market development across Rest of APAC. The position will align regional strategy with local execution, partnering across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Professional Education, Health Economics & Market Access, Regulatory Affairs and global teams to accelerate therapy adoption and expand patient access.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute growth-market strategy and annual marketing plans aligned with APAC Heart Recovery priorities.
- Lead Impella market development in Korea and Taiwan, focusing on patient identification, referral pathways, clinical confidence and therapy adoption.
- Provide targeted support for HRPCI market development across Rest of APAC.
- Drive launch readiness, market entry and expansion in partnership with country commercial, clinical and regulatory teams.
- Translate global and regional strategies into locally relevant positioning, campaigns, education and field-enablement programs.
- Advance KOL engagement, peer-to-peer education, congress activation and Heart Team development with Medical Affairs, HCS and Professional Education.
- Partner with Health Economics & Market Access and country teams to strengthen value propositions and reimbursement readiness.
- Use market, customer and performance insights to set priorities, optimize investment and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Manage budgets, agencies and cross-functional execution with strong governance, compliance and ROI discipline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of marketing, product management, market development or commercial experience in medical devices, cardiovascular care, healthcare or life sciences.
- Experience in cardiovascular medical devices or cardiology-related therapies; exposure to TAVI, structural heart, interventional cardiology, heart failure, cardiac surgery or mechanical circulatory support is preferred.
- Strong command of market assessment, segmentation, positioning, launch planning, downstream execution and performance management.
- Regional experience translating strategy into execution across diverse APAC markets, healthcare systems and access environments.
- Proven ability to lead through influence, align senior cross-functional stakeholders and deliver in a matrix organization.
- Strong analytical, communication and project leadership capabilities, with disciplined management of priorities, budgets and partners.
- Fluent English; proficiency in an additional APAC language is an advantage.
Preferred Skills and Capabilities
- Commercial or marketing experience in TAVI, structural heart, interventional cardiology, complex PCI or mechanical circulatory support.
- Strong understanding of growth-market dynamics, including access, reimbursement, referral pathways and physician capability building.
- Track record of converting clinical and customer insights into scalable programs, playbooks and measurable growth.
- Executive presence, cultural agility and a practical, hands-on leadership style.
- Patient-first mindset and commitment to expanding access to Heart Recovery therapies.
