Our Northeast Division is a well-respected and award-winning group where career development, training, and mentoring co-exist with diverse civil, environmental, water resources, and traffic/transportation projects in a fast-paced and rewarding work environment.
Your Responsibilities as a Scientist 2 - Project Scientist:
- Collect soil, water, and/or air media utilizing different sampling techniques.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
- Assist with due diligence (ASTM Phase I) projects.
- Assist with Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations (RSR), Release Base Cleanup Regulations (RBCRs) and Property Transfer Program-based reports including, but not limited to Completion of Investigations, Remedial Action Plans, Verifications, Status Reports.
- Actively develop your own career growth with opportunities to assist with field and reporting tasks.
- Work directly with staff and management-level team members with field and reporting responsibilities.
What we're looking for:
- BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field.
- 2 years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and familiarity of CTDEEP regulatory reporting.
- The ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
- Light construction experience/hands-on skills a plus.
- Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
