Einstein Charter Schools (“Einstein”) is a nonprofit Charter Management Organization whose mission is to nurture students to be academically STRONG as well as socially and emotionally resilient.
Founded in 2005, Einstein Charter Schools is a top-performing, tuition-free, open-admissions network serving students in New Orleans East.
Beginning in the 2026–27 school year, Einstein will operate as a unified school serving students in grades Pre-K–8 through the consolidation of Village de l’Est, Sherwood Forest, and Einstein Middle School. This unified model is designed to strengthen alignment across campuses, enhance student support, and provide a seamless educational experience from early childhood through middle school.
Authorized by the Orleans Parish School Board, Einstein serves more than 850 students, over 32% of whom receive English Language Learner (ELL) services. Einstein remains committed to providing a high-quality education that prepares all students for long-term academic and personal success.

Position Overview
The Student Success Interventionist supports the implementation of school culture and behavior intervention systems to promote a safe, positive, and structured learning environment. This role works closely with the Student Success Coordinator, school leadership, teachers, and student support staff to provide targeted support for students who require additional behavioral and social-emotional interventions.
The Student Success Interventionist works directly with students to reinforce school expectations, provide coaching and behavior support, and assist with restorative practices. This role plays a key part in helping students develop the habits and skills necessary to meet the school’s expectations: Students are Safe, Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn.
Reports to: Head of School and/or designee; works closely with the Student Success Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
Student Behavior Support
- Provide direct support and intervention for students demonstrating behavioral challenges.
- Reinforce school expectations and support students in developing positive behavior habits.
- Implement behavior intervention strategies and support individual student behavior plans.
- Monitor and support students assigned to Reset Room, ISS, or intervention spaces.
- Assist with student re-entry and reflection processes following behavioral incidents.
- Facilitate student reflection and goal-setting conversations.
School Culture Implementation
- Support the daily implementation of PBIS and school culture systems.
- Reinforce expectations in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and other shared spaces.
- Proactively circulate throughout the school to monitor behavior and maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with supervising arrival, breakfast, lunch, class transitions, and dismissal.
- Model and reinforce the school’s culture values: safe, respectful, responsible, and ready to learn.
Collaboration with Staff
- Work with teachers to support consistent classroom behavior expectations.
- Provide feedback to the Student Success Specialist regarding student behavior trends
- Assist in implementing behavior strategies and interventions recommended by school leadership.
- Support documentation of student behavior incidents and interventions.
Restorative Practices & Conflict Resolution
- Support restorative conversations and mediation between students when appropriate.
- Help students develop conflict resolution and social-emotional skills.
- Assist with restorative circles or reflection activities following incidents.
Family Communication Support
- Assist in communicating with families regarding student behavior and progress when directed by leadership.
- Support the Student Success Specialist in preparing for or facilitating parent meetings when necessary.
Data and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of student behavior interventions and support activities.
- Assist with documentation related to discipline incidents and behavior interventions.
- Monitor student progress toward behavior goals and communicate updates to leadership.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support school-wide initiatives that promote positive school culture and student engagement.
- Assist with school events, assemblies, and activities that reinforce school values.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Head of School or Student Success Specialist.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with children or youth in education, mentoring, counseling, or youth development programs.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and support their social-emotional development.
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered practices.
- Agreement with the academic mission and philosophy of Einstein Charter Schools.
- Experience with PBIS, restorative practices, or behavior intervention strategies preferred.
Evaluation
Performance will be evaluated annually by the Head of School or designee, with input from the Student Success Coordinator. Evaluation will include:
- Effectiveness in supporting student behavior and culture systems
- Contribution to a positive school climate
- Collaboration with staff and student support teams
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
