Treasury Operations Manager

Responsible for managing day to day functions for Treasury Management Operations, ensuring operational activities run smoothly and efficiently. Provides leadership, training and supervision within the department as well as the Company. This position requires advanced technical expertise in all areas of Treasury Management products and services. This leader develops a high-performing team, oversees complex client and business partner escalations, and ensures treasury services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. The manager also leads cross-functional projects, vendor initiatives, and change programs that improve operational capacity and the client experience.

 

What you will do:

• Treasury Operations Oversight - Direct daily Treasury Management Operations activities and maintain effective service, quality, and productivity standards. Oversee operational support for treasury products and services, including client onboarding, account services, payment solutions, entitlements, and maintenance activities. Monitor workloads, service levels, exceptions, and operating metrics; adjust staffing and processes to meet business needs. Maintain documented procedures and ensure work is completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with bank policy.
• Leadership and Team Management - Develop a highly motivated, results-driven, and action-oriented Treasury Management Operations team. Delegate assignments, establish schedules, and provide the training and resources required for effective execution. Complete performance appraisals and other personnel actions, including candidate interviews, coaching, and disciplinary action when required. Promote the bank's culture through clear expectations, staff development, recognition, and accountability.
• Risk Compliance and Audit Management - Embed the bank's risk framework and a strong first-line-of-defense model in Treasury Management Operations. Maintain effective operational controls for payments, client access, fraud prevention, data protection, and other treasury activities. Partner with Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit, and business leaders on regulatory examinations and independent third-party audits. Coordinate responses, corrective actions, control testing, and timely remediation of findings.
• Technology Vendor and Process Improvement - Partner with technology teams and vendors to design and implement solutions that improve operating efficiency and the client experience. Evaluate processes, systems, and controls; identify automation opportunities and eliminate unnecessary manual work. Support system upgrades, conversions, testing, implementation, and post-launch stabilization. Ensure solution design and execution align with bank strategy, risk requirements, and competitive needs.
• Enterprise Projects and Change Management - Lead or support medium- and large-scale enterprise projects and strategic initiatives that affect Operations or the broader bank. Translate business challenges into practical, innovative solutions that support organizational goals. Plan and execute change management activities that build business acceptance, user readiness, and sustained adoption. Coordinate with business users at all levels to define requirements, communicate impacts, and manage implementation risks.
• Client and Business Partner Support - Resolve complex client service and highly technical issues escalated by business partners and lines of business. Coordinate troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, communication, and corrective action across internal teams and vendors. Identify recurring issues and implement durable improvements to service and controls.
• Business Partnership and Other Responsibilities - Apply broad knowledge of treasury management and bank operations to identify opportunities, share expertise, and add value to the business. Lead through change with resilience, sound judgment, integrity, and respect for others. • Travel Required: 0-10%.

Who you are:

• High School or GED required.
• 4 Year / Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, operations, or a related field preferred.
• Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 7 years Treasury management, banking operations, payments, or related financial services experience required.
• 3 years Direct leadership experience required.
• Experience in a complex, regulated bank environment is preferred.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), or National Check Professional (NCP) designation preferred.
• Deep knowledge of treasury management operations, products, payment systems, implementation, servicing, and client support.
• Working knowledge of applicable banking and payment requirements, including BSA/AML, OFAC, UCC Article 4A, NACHA rules, Regulation E, and information security expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead employees, develop talent, manage performance, and build an accountable service culture.
• Strong operational risk and control skills, including issue management, audit readiness, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects, technology implementations, vendor relationships, and organizational change.
• Ability to analyze operational data, service levels, trends, and capacity needs and convert findings into practical action.
• Strong communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong experience with treasury platforms, core banking systems, workflow tools, and case management systems.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $125,000 annually

AIP Bonus up to 15%

Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
