Contract Quote Specialist (6 Month Assignment)

What you’ll be doing: 

• Managing the full request-for-quote (RFQ) process from intake and prioritization through tracking and on-time delivery of accurate, competitive quotes.
• Reviewing technical and commercial requirements, resolve questions early, and ensure each quote aligns with customer needs and business objectives.
• Partnering with internal teams and suppliers to gather inputs and secure competitive cost, quality, and delivery commitments.
• Tracking open quotes, communicating status, and following up proactively to meet customer deadlines and provide exceptional service.
• Maintaining accurate quote records, notes, pricing details, and version control in the ERP system while supporting margin goals.
• Supporting customer cost-management programs and coordinate clear, successful handoffs to internal and external partners when business is awarded.
• Performing other tasks as required
• This is a 6-month assignment working 40 hours per week

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma (required), Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience (preferred)
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) proficiency (required) 
• Epicor Kinetic ERP experience (preferred) 
• 2-5 years of quoting, pricing management and customer support (preferred) 
• Experience with material commodities and manufacturing processes (preferred) 
• Advanced organization skills (required) 
• Understanding of supply chain management and purchasing techniques (preferred) 
• Experience communicating with customers/vendors via phone, email and in person (preferred) 
• Project management (preferred) 
• Ability to read prints, understand call outs, and quality specifications (preferred) 
• Ability to make strategic decisions regarding supplier selection and purchasing parameters to ensure quote competitiveness and margin protection (preferred)
