Position: Business Analyst – Financial Markets
Location: Lisbon / Hybrid
Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with 6–9 years of experience and strong knowledge of Financial Markets, Front Office and Middle Office processes. The role involves gathering and translating business needs into functional specifications, collaborating with development teams, defining and executing functional and regression tests, supporting production deployments and third-level support, and ensuring effective communication between business and technical stakeholders. Knowledge of Summit Front Office is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and translate Front Office business needs into detailed functional specifications.
- Collaborate with development teams to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance tests, with particular focus on P&L and risk impacts.
- Contribute to the automation of non-regression testing in collaboration with technical teams.
- Participate in workload estimation for development and testing activities.
- Coordinate production deployment activities and support the successful delivery of solutions.
- Provide third-level support, including system analysis, incident follow-up, troubleshooting, and resolution monitoring.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the applications, business processes, and underlying IT landscape.
Requirements:
- 6–9 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within Financial Services or Financial Markets.
- Strong knowledge of Front Office and Middle Office workflows, including P&L and trading processes.
- Good understanding of financial products, particularly credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, cash, FX, options, swaps, CDS, bonds, repo, and money market products.
- Experience testing and mapping business processes, particularly in Booking, Valuation, Platform, and Reporting.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Previous experience working with complex financial systems and international stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Summit Front Office is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Autonomous, proactive, and comfortable coordinating across business and technical teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.
- English C1 level.
- French B2 is a plus.
