Job Impulse is hiring an experienced Bridgeport Machinist in Davisburg, MI for a company that designs and builds custom automation equipment and conveyor systems.

This is a hands-on machining role for someone who enjoys working from blueprints, setting up their own jobs, and producing precision parts that become part of larger custom-built systems. What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate manual Bridgeport milling machines

• Machine parts to blueprint and engineering specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and work instructions

• Set up fixtures, tooling, and workpieces for machining operations

• Perform drilling, tapping, boring, facing, slotting, and other manual machining operations

• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools

• Maintain tight tolerances and required quality standards

• Deburr and finish machined components as needed

• Work closely with engineering, fabrication, and assembly teams to support custom equipment builds

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of manual Bridgeport machining experience preferred

• Ability to read and work from blueprints and mechanical drawings

• Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools

• Experience machining aluminum, steel, and stainless steel

• Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and shop mathematics

• Ability to set up and complete machining work independently

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• High school diploma or GED required
