Convenience Store Manager

Shop A Lott is looking for a dependable, motivated leader to join our team as a Convenience Store Manager. This position is responsible for the overall operation of the store, including leading employees, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, controlling inventory and expenses, and creating a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and employees.

What You'll Do

As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of your location, including:

• Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop store employees

• Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable for performance

• Maintain excellent customer service and address customer concerns professionally

• Oversee cash handling, deposits, register procedures, and store documentation

• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, stocking, and product availability

• Monitor sales, expenses, labor, inventory, and other key store performance measures

• Maintain store cleanliness, appearance, organization, and merchandising standards

• Ensure food service and deli areas meet company expectations, when applicable

• Follow and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety requirements

• Help prevent inventory loss, cash shortages, and other controllable losses

• Maintain appropriate staffing and respond to operational needs when they arise

• Communicate effectively with employees and company leadership

• Create a professional, respectful, safe, and productive workplace

• Take ownership of the overall performance and condition of the store

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous retail, convenience store, restaurant, or similar management experience

• Strong leadership and employee-management skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Ability to coach employees and address performance issues appropriately

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Dependable attendance and a strong sense of responsibility

• Basic understanding of cash handling, inventory, scheduling, and store operations

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business
