Description
OPSWAT, a global leader in IT, OT, and ICS critical infrastructure cybersecurity, delivers an end-to-end platform that gives public and private sector organizations and enterprises the critical advantage needed to protect their complex networks, secure their devices, and ensure compliance. Over the last 20 years our commitment to innovative technology has earned the trust of more than 1,700 organizations, governments, and institutions globally, solidifying our role in protecting the world’s critical infrastructure and securing our way of life.
The Position
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Agentic Software Engineer to work closely with OPSWAT’s international Legal team and help accelerate and expand Legal’s use of AI and automation. This role is part of the Enterprise Applications team and will operate as the dedicated AI and automation engineering partner for Legal. The engineer will work day to day with Legal, join Legal team meetings, follow Legal’s priorities and roadmap, and translate Legal’s business, compliance, confidentiality, and governance requirements into practical technical solutions.
The role will focus on building production AI applications, intelligent automations, agentic workflows, integrations, and analytics that improve how Legal operates across contracts, compliance, privacy, corporate governance, employment, regulatory monitoring, intake, knowledge management, and legal operations.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Build, support, and integrate Legal AI and automation solutions across Legal’s core tools and platforms, including Chamelio for contract lifecycle management, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude, OneTrust, OPSWAT’s internally built Legal Service Desk and Entity Management system, and related enterprise applications, data platforms, document repositories, systems of record, and approved data sources.
- Design and build new AI-powered legal applications, internal copilots, intelligent automations, agentic workflows, and API-based integrations that improve speed, consistency, visibility, quality, and control.
- Serve as the technical translator for Legal: explain architecture, system limitations, access controls, data flows, integrations, model behavior, implementation trade-offs, and risk implications in plain language so Legal can make informed compliance and governance decisions.
- Partner with Legal stakeholders to identify high business impact use cases, understand workflows, define requirements, prioritize the engineering backlog, and deliver solutions that Legal can adopt and use in practice.
- Manage Legal AI solutions end to end, from discovery, architecture, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, user training, support, adoption measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Help protect privileged, confidential, personal, employee, and sensitive business data through secure-by-design architecture, appropriate access controls, audit logging, retention alignment, and privacy-by-design practices.
- Develop and operate evaluation, testing, and quality frameworks for Legal AI outputs, including accuracy, reliability, defensibility, source grounding, human review, and escalation to Legal where judgment is required.
- Partner closely with Enterprise Applications, IT, Data, Security, and Legal to ensure Legal AI solutions align with enterprise architecture, security standards, governance requirements, and Legal’s operating model.
What We Need From You:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software, data, automation, integration, platform, or applied AI engineering.
- Production engineering: Five or more years building and operating production software, with a track record of taking solutions from prototype to supported production.
- Languages and fundamentals: Python required; TypeScript or C# a plus. Tested, maintainable services; APIs; relational and document data stores; CI/CD; containers at a working level.
- Applied agentic AI: Successfully built and deployed production applications on LLM APIs that use retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling and multi-step agent workflows with human-in-the-loop controls and structured outputs.
- Evaluation discipline: You have built evaluation sets and quality metrics for LLM outputs and used them to gate releases.
- Document processing: Experience building document-processing pipelines that parse, , OCR, extract, classify, and structure information from contracts, policies, corporate records, and other unstructured documents at realistic enterprise scale.
- Security fundamentals: Authentication and authorization, secrets management, encryption, audit logging and privacy by design, applied in systems that handled sensitive data.
- AI-assisted development: Experience using agentic coding tools as a core part of how you build, and can show production work delivered faster because of it.
- Working with a non-technical function: Ability to work effectively with non-technical legal function, understand legal and compliance workflows, explain technical concepts clearly, challenge assumptions where needed, and convert legal priorities into practical engineering solutions .
- Language: Fluent English, written and spoken. Vietnamese is an advantage.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant cloud, security, data, or AI engineering certifications are an advantage.
