Description
As Installation & Commissioning Team Leader you will lead and develop a team of Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and Senior Field Service Engineers working across Norway. You are responsible for ensuring high-quality UPS installation & commissioning services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with customer and project requirements. You support the team with technical guidance, resource planning, competence development, and operational leadership. You are a strong people leader, an experienced electrical professional, and a good team player who enjoys coaching others and solving technical challenges. You work closely with project teams, customers, and service management to drive successful project execution and continuous improvement. The role includes supporting activities across Norway.
## What you’ll do:
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Field Service Engineers and Senior Field Service Engineers across Norway ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of instaltlation & commissioning activities.
- Oversee UPS installation & commissioning activities on behalf of Eaton Field Service within the local service unit and at cluster level, ensuring consistency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance for UPS commissioning projects, supporting engineers in resolving complex technical challenges and escalations.
- Plan, coordinate, and optimize field service resources to meet project schedules, customer requirements, and business objectives.
- Coach, mentor, and support the professional development of Field Service Engineers, ensuring continuous improvement of technical and leadership competencies.
- Lead onboarding, training, and development activities for new Field Service Engineers joining Eaton.
- Support Project Managers with project planning, commissioning strategy, resource allocation, customer engagement, and effective project execution.
- Act as the primary escalation point for customers and field teams, collaborating with internal stakeholders and factories to resolve issues, improve service performance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, project stakeholders, and internal business functions to support successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Eaton policies, quality standards, commissioning procedures, and customer requirements across all service activities.
- Manage and oversee subcontractor performance where required, ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with Eaton standards.
- Drive Health & Safety culture within the team, conducting audits, promoting best practices, and ensuring the highest standards are consistently maintained.
- Monitor team performance, utilization, productivity, and service quality, implementing improvement actions where needed.
- Support recruitment activities, workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
- Any other ad hoc duties in line with the role.
## Qualifications:
- Suitable vocational electrical education, Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering is advantage.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the field.
- Electrical installer background with three phase electrical installation or maintenance experience is preferred
- Coordinating and leading team of people with workforce and task allocation, performance reviews, traninings and mentoring.
- Fluency in English and Norwegian.
- Strong communication skills, customer focus attitude, able to work with various stakeholders.
- Proactive, strategic thinker, ownership mindset, process driven mentality.
