M42 - Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and support complex ICT and digital transformation initiatives.

The role involves managing end-to-end project delivery, coordinating multiple stakeholders and vendors, managing risks and issues, and ensuring projects are delivered according to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

The successful candidate will also support business-as-usual project activities and may be involved in areas such as business process outsourcing, records migration, digital platforms, and operational transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and monitor project activities, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Ensure project milestones are delivered on time and according to agreed quality standards.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams, external vendors, technology partners, and other stakeholders.
• Gather and align project requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Identify, assess, manage, and escalate project risks and issues.
• Develop and implement mitigation plans to keep projects on track.
• Prepare and present regular project status updates, reports, and documentation to management and stakeholders.
• Manage change requests and assess their impact on project scope, cost, resources, and timelines.
• Ensure appropriate documentation, governance, and approvals are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review project deliverables to ensure they meet defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support ongoing BAU project activities while maintaining operational continuity.
• Manage competing priorities across multiple projects and workstreams.
• Drive teams and stakeholders toward common project objectives without necessarily having direct authority.
• Facilitate discussions, resolve disagreements, and maintain stakeholder alignment.
• Analyse project challenges, identify root causes, and make sound decisions in a timely manner.
• Anticipate potential problems and proactively implement preventive or corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant project management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Proven experience managing ICT, digital transformation, or technology-related projects.
• Strong project planning, coordination, risk management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities in a fast-changing environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to manage expectations and maintain alignment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with a structured approach to project delivery.
• Ability to work effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and technology partners.

Advantageous Skills

• Experience working with government or public-sector ICT projects.
• Understanding of ICT governance, procurement processes, or statutory requirements.
• Experience with records management, document management, or digital records migration.
• Experience managing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) programmes or outsourced operations.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative project delivery.
• Experience using Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, SharePoint Online, JIRA, JIRA Service Management, or similar workflow and project management tools.
• Ability to interpret data and translate insights into clear recommendations and decisions.
• Familiarity with AI tools for improving productivity and automating routine activities.
• Understanding of responsible AI principles, including data privacy, fairness, and transparency.
• Product-oriented mindset with a focus on user outcomes, end-to-end ownership, and business value.
