Seasonal Loan Processor

FreeStar Financial Credit Union is looking for a dynamic and passionate professional to join our Loan Servicing Department in a seasonal capacity. If you love to use your administrative and service skills to serve our members and maintain loan compliance, this could be the role for you!

 

Job Location: St. Clair Shores Branch

Days: Monday Thru Friday

Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Salary: $18/Hr

 

 

Position Purpose:

The primary purpose of a Loan Processor is to assist FreeStar Financial Credit Union in fulfilling our mission to positively impact the lives of our members, team members, and community through making meaningful connections and progressive financial solutions.

 

This is done by assisting consumer lending in maintaining all necessary documentation in order to remain in compliance with all regulatory agencies and maintain the necessary records to protect the assets of the credit union.

 

What You'll Do In As A Lending Processor:

Efficiently review and verify supporting documentation for approved consumer loan applications, create loan documents, and schedule member closings for both DocuSign, and branch.

 

Communicate directly with loan officers to obtain lending decisions and follow up with members and affiliates to relay loan decisions in an expeditious manner.

 

Maintain a high level of communication between the loan originator, member, and closer both verbally and in writing.

 

Answer incoming phone calls from both members and team members to answer questions and perform account maintenance on Visa and loan accounts.

 

Reverse loan payments and perform financial transactions as needed.

 

Process adverse action notices and subsequent action forms as needed.

 

Review Loan Exceptions and execute necessary corrections to maintain the loan file.

 

Review VISA reporting for lost/stolen/reissued cards.

 

Audit VISA Files.

 

What You'll Bring To FreeStar Financial As a Lending Processor

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of six months of similar or related experience in the financial industry is preferred.

Must have knowledge of various federal regulations and the responsibilities relating to each act of the following:

Right to Financial Privacy Act

Regulation E (EFTS)

Regulation CC (Funds Availability)

Regulation Z (Truth in Lending)

Truth in Savings Act

Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
