What you'll do...
Role summary:The Staff, Technical Program Manager within CTS Global Governance leads complex, large-scale programs spanning multiple teams to support secure, compliant operations across Walmart. This role drives end-to-end execution, managing dependencies, risks, and trade-offs to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery. The Staff TPM partners closely with product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, building strong, trusted relationships that align priorities, foster collaboration, and drive shared outcomes. With governance oversight across Global Security, Threat, Computer Vision, Aviation, product recalls, cross-border trade compliance, and financial transaction integrity, the role leverages GenAI and advanced analytics to improve execution, visibility, and operational excellence.
About the team:
The CTS Global Governance team drives enterprise-wide governance by managing complex, cross-functional programs with clear accountability and timely delivery. Positioned at the intersection of technology, operations, and business, the team collaborates closely with product, engineering, and domain stakeholders to align priorities and enhance outcomes. The team fosters strong partnerships with business leaders, serving as trusted advisors who translate strategic objectives into executable plans and measurable results. By standardizing frameworks and continuously refining processes, the team supports Walmart’s secure, efficient, and scalable operations across multiple organizations and geographies.
What you'll do:
- Define and manage program goals, deliverables, schedules, and critical paths for multiple medium to high-complexity initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.
- Secure team commitments, manage dependencies, and resolve ambiguities to ensure clarity on end-to-end technology solutions.
- Translate product requirements into technical designs, ensuring scalability, high availability, and performance across systems and platforms.
- Monitor program progress, identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and communicate status and issues to stakeholders effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, earning trust through proactive communication, strategic alignment, and consistent delivery of outcomes.
- Analyze data to inform decisions, identify improvement opportunities, and drive automation and innovation within programs.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in program management techniques, tools, and frameworks to lead multiple medium to high-complexity programs aligned with strategic objectives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to secure commitments, manage dependencies, and align cross-functional teams effectively.
- Ability to translate product requirements into technical designs and collaborate with engineering teams on system architecture and solution delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility and influence across business, product, engineering, and operations stakeholders, creating strong partnerships that drive alignment and results.
- Analytical problem-solving capabilities to synthesize data, identify risks, and propose actionable solutions.
- Proficiency in Agile methodology and business communication to drive program success and continuous improvement.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
