Meaningful Work From Day One:
Leads and maintains direct responsibility for financial planning, accounting, reporting and analysis functions for external manufacturing sites globally, as well as the Jack and Coke relationship. These activities include general accounting functions, standard cost calculations, developing analytics and insights, strategic decision support, transfer price review, and liaison with co-packers regarding financial matters.
What You Can Expect:
● Ensure that the financial recordings are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
● Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all financial records, financial statements, as well as supporting management reports.
● Lead and execute the monthly closing function and related analysis of production cost and variance from standard cost.
● Responsible for production variance reporting, forecasting and analysis.
● Responsible for quarterly account reconciliations.
● Lead and develop the annual and day-to-day cost standards. This involves using SAP knowledge of activity rates, bills of materials, and material ledger. In addition, developing manual standard calculations for all production locations not utilizing the SAP platform.
● Be a key business partner to EMO Operations management and EMO Controller by providing insights and counsel based on economic modeling and understanding of the business and operations.
● Identify complex accounting problems, research possible solutions, and develop conclusions to present to managers or other individuals.
● Review and report findings regarding all inventory adjustments, including cycle counts. Identify and monitor slow moving and obsolete inventory, and coordinate adjustments with EMO operations.
● Lead or support projects and ad hoc requests as needed which may include researching and implementing process improvements and system automations, as well as standardizing processes across EMO sites.
● Provide financial reporting, forecasting and analysis to support EMO innovation projects as necessary for the sites managed.
What You Bring to the Table:
● Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance and /or accounting plus 7 years relevant experience preferably in planning or manufacturing; or MBA degree plus 7 years relevant experience; or equivalent education / experience combination.
● Demonstrated understanding of Production and Inventory costing methods.
● Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts. Must be able to influence others and build consensus around issues.
● Demonstrated experience with ERP systems in a production environment.
● Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly discuss business issues and translate into financial and strategic implications and action plans.
● Committed to working a flexible schedule to meet deadlines. Due to the nature of the position and its working relationship with other time zones, it requires flexibility to join meetings either during evening time or early morning as needed.
