The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year-round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs.

 

We’re hiring a Field Operations Dispatcher & Parts Clerk to Live. Work. Explore. in Death Valley National Park!

 

Job Summary:This position will oversee workflow, and dispatch through internal CMMS system HotSOS.  They will also oversee the PAR levels, and monthly audits of the inventory at The Oasis at Death Valley. They will maintain a clean parts room. The position will receive, record, dispatch and manage maintenance and House Keeping repair requests. They will verify correct flow for work orders through the automated dispatching system. They will make and update all administrative changes to the system to allow for correct distribution of service orders including but not limited to: New Issues, Teams, preventative maintenance etc. that elevates the facilities department.  This position will support the CMMS stakeholders by managing incoming orders, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery of services and goods. 

 

The Details:Position Type: Full-time Year-roundStart Date: Next available check in date (approximately three weeks)Pay: $20.45Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates field staff, equipment and service schedules 
  • Assigns service technicians for specific daily duties 
  • Dispatch assigned personnel daily to ensure workflow through HotSOS and ensure workorders are closed in accordance to budget, quality and safety standards.  
  • Manage day to day execution of projects and SO with in the CMMS and those as assigned by Director and Assistant Director of Engineering through HotSOS and other systems. 
  • Receive and process incoming parts/maintenance requests from guests and employees and other departments. Verify for accuracy, input in systems and dispatch to appropriate Maintenance Technicians for service. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving complaints, and addressing customer concerns related to parts and services and maintenance. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and job orders.  
  • Provide needed PAR levels for repair and maintenance of facilities. 
  • Provide control and accountability of inventory. 
  • Provide support and input for further development of computerized maintenance tracking system. 
  • Prepares work orders, the closing of work orders and executes the dispatch of service calls to the appropriate crew. 
  • Supports the CMMS Administrator as required. 
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of mechanical parts preferred. 
  • Ability to verbally communicate with vendors. 
  • Ability to provide a physical count of stock items. 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. 
  • Warehouse experience helpful. 
  • Able to provide quick and productive solutions to a multitude of challenges and/or limited resources. 
  • Ability to demonstrate sense urgency around deadlines, guest experience and The Oasis at Death Valley branding.  
  • High level of professionalism, able to follow instructions with follow-up, respect, and integrity. 
  • Understand oral and written communications, follow detailed directions, and provide clear instructions/directions. 
  • Basic skills such as: attention to detail skills, reasoning skills and multi-tasking and prioritization skills. 
  • Moderate computer skills. 

Physical Requirements include:

  • Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs.
