Job Description

As a Security Officer - Plant Access Control in Christine, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, controlling visitor flow, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers at a utilities location by following site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, authorizations, visitor registrations, and contractor credentials in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate access logs, issue and collect visitor or contractor credentials as authorized, and report access irregularities to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
