Job Description

As a Security Officer Front Desk Access Control in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence for visitors, tenants, and staff. You will monitor access, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, maintain accurate records, and communicate clearly with site contacts. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor logs and other front-desk records.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and information, and communicate routine concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor assigned cameras, access systems, and front-desk communications; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
