Overview

Artex's team of qualified actuaries and trusted industry experts delivers specialised expertise in the international (re)insurance and alternative risk transfer markets.

How you'll make an impact

  • Assist in the preparation and development of actuarial reserving models and methodologies.
  • Perform data analysis and validation to support reserving exercises.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reserving reports and presentations for clients.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of capital models, including Solvency II compliance.
  • Perform calculations and analyses to support stress and scenario testing.
  • Provide support in preparing ORSA reports and presentations.
  • Assist in the preparation of actuarial opinions on technical provisions, underwriting policies, and reinsurance arrangements.
  • Support the collation and analysis of data required for regulatory reporting.
  • Help prepare documentation and reports for regulatory submissions and client communications.
  • Support the development and maintenance of pricing models for various insurance products.

 

About you

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • A degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related field is desirable.
  • Progress towards qualification as an Associate or Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) or equivalent.
  • Experience in an actuarial role, preferably within non-life insurance or reinsurance is desirable.
  • Exposure to reserving, pricing, or capital modelling is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel R and Python and other data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with actuarial software (e.g., ResQ, Igloo, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
