Patient Service Representative - UT Internal Medicine Pellissippi

University Physicians' Association is seeking qualified applicants for a Patient Service Representative (PSR) for a primary care medical office located in Knoxville, TN, UT Internal Medicine Pellissippi. 

Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday 8A-4:30P 

Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines in a very fast-paced office. Applicants must be familiar with giving instructions, processing orders, and making the patients their top priority. This position will work closely with physicians to provide a seamless patient experience.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Greet patients in friendly and timely manner
• Ensure that patients complete necessary forms required for the electronic health record and billing office
• Maintain patient demographic and insurance information; verifies insurance eligibility and collects co-pays
• Ensures good patient flow through practice by timely processing of patients as they arrive at front office
• Answer patient inquiries regarding patient registration information or billing questions
• Refers patient inquiries regarding medical care or treatment to medical assistant or physician
• Schedules patients with appropriate physician
• Document scanning into electronic health record
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

6-months to 1-year previous medical experience is preferred.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization are critical to the overall success of the candidate.
