SSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions may include, but are not limited to thefunctions listed below. Must be able to perform the essential functions of thejob with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Receive, stock and issue various parts, materials, supplies, tools and equipment; verify and inspect incoming shipments for appropriate application, quantity and quality; sign for items as appropriate.
- Research, prepare bids and order parts from vendors; ensure compliance with general contract guidelines.
- Obtain price quotes for parts and supplies purchased; order parts and stock items from vendors; mark stock items as necessary upon arrival; prioritize and expedite orders.
- Obtain and fill customer orders; deliver stock items as appropriate; answer questions regarding product information including use and safety of product, handling and disposal and ordering procedures.
- Maintain detailed files of parts-supply transactions; log returned parts for credit due.
- Operate appropriate equipment including a forklift, pallet, jack, hand truck, cart and delivery truck; unload shipments and verify for appropriate quantity and quality.
- Perform routine computer terminal data entry including transfers, corrections, warranty transactions, research and work order transactions; log parts issued to proper work orders and post orders into computer; retrieve information to assist in locating parts and supplies.
- Prepare various reports relating to parts issuance, receipts, work orders and billing information.
- Assist technical staff in determining accurate parts applications for assigned projects; place telephone orders for stock and special items; research parts manuals and technical publications.
- Conduct periodic inventory of stock items; maintain proper stock levels by ordering supplies and parts on a daily basis.
- Perform a variety of clerical support activities including answering the telephone and typing forms and correspondence.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours college level course work in business or inventory control; and
Two (2) years of inventory control experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.Environmental:
Warehouse environment; exposure to computer screens, moving equipment.
Physical:
Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling or crouching for prolonged periods; may require lifting and carrying objects up to 100 pounds; and operating vehicles and/or equipment.
