[What the role is]
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join the Consumer Services & Investigation (CS&I) Division of the Data Innovation & Protection Group of IMDA.The Systems Governance Branch under CS&I plays a leading role in managing the IT systems used by staff and public users, in support of our enterprise objective of building a trusted data environment for businesses and consumers. The candidate will play an active role in managing various systems, including the national Do Not Call (“DNC”) Registry and inhouse case management system. This will include overseeing the ongoing maintenance of the systems, management of system changes and contribution to the planning and implementation of future enhancements for better efficiency and greater user experience.
[What you will be working on]
- Manage the operations of the systems to ensure continual availability and performance the system.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and support their needs to manage the development and enhancement of the system.
- Oversight of the support services for the systems and Point of Contact for users to escalate operational issues.
- Identify, analyse and propose solutions to fulfil business requirements and recommend potential areas for improvement.
- Translate business requirements to vendors and stakeholders and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.
- Manage vendors in the execution of the system development and maintenance, ensuring quality and timely deliverance of services.
- Assist in preparation and delivery of project reports and dashboards, providing key data insights to support decision making.
- Provide project management support, including project progress management, resource management and risk management.
- Provide incident management support, including planning and executing of incident management processes, identifying key issues and solutions, and facilitating communications to stakeholders.
- Support the overall team’s responsibilities in the planning, implementation and maintenance of divisional IT software and systems in alignment with divisional and enterprise objectives and goals.
- Support and participate in enterprise change management for existing and new projects together with other teams and divisions.
[What we are looking for]
- Background in Computer Science, Information Science, Project Management or a related field.
- 3-7 years of relevant working experience.
- Strong IT knowledge, with excellent knowledge in the management and maintenance of IT systems.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability and discipline to execute project requirements and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that can translate analysis into solutions which meets business objectives.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Overall resourceful, self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
