Department Overview
Guardian Integrated Communications Control System (ICCS) provides the backbone for emergency response in the UK & Europe. Our applications help 999 operators respond to calls from the public and dispatch out nearby responders, enabling the right response when every second counts.As our solution has grown from a small startup to one of the leading offerings for Fire & Police agencies, our customers now trust us to solve more of their problems. We are building new products to increase the safety and efficiency of emergency response agencies, and ultimately to help our customers save lives.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Back End Developer with .NET expertise to join our agile engineering team.
You will be responsible for leading the development of mission critical or supporting software solutions that meet business requirements, as well as designing and implementing architectures that support these solutions to a high standard, while taking into account product’s efficiency and speed.
Our solution is written in C# & .NET (both .NET and .NET Framework) with Angular on the UI side and Entity Framework to handle database operations.
This role is primarily remote with working from our Krakow office once per week.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development of software solutions, ensuring that they meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
Design and implement architectures that support software solutions, ensuring that they are scalable, reliable, and secure.
Work closely with business stakeholders and project managers to gather requirements and develop specifications for software solutions.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and support to the development team.
Basic Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on .NET-centric solutions.
Strong database skills are welcome, including experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL and MariaDB databases.
Experience with Entity Framework (EF).
Familiarity with following technologies: ASP.NET, Web API, SignalR, WCF, WinForms
Familiarity with other protocols, tools, systems and languages: SIP, FreeSWITCH, Redis, Git, Jenkins, C/C++, Git , CI/CD
Used testing frameworks such as: NUnit/Moq, Selenium, Jasmine/Karma
Practical knowledge of: JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3, AngularJS / Angular 2+ is welcome
Knowledge of security aspects.
Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
