Description

Every improvement you make to an automation platform has the potential to help life-changing therapies reach patients around the world. At AGC Biologics, automation is much more than technology, it is a key enabler of safe, reliable and efficient manufacturing.

We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead our PCS & Application Engineering team in Søborg. This is an opportunity to combine people leadership with technical expertise while driving the next generation of automation supporting our biopharmaceutical production. If you are passionate about developing people, digital transformation and creating robust automation solutions in a GMP-regulated environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Lead the next chapter of our automation journey

As Senior Manager of PCS & Application Engineering, you will lead a team of highly skilled automation engineers while working closely with colleagues across Engineering, Manufacturing, IT and QA. Together, you will ensure that our automation solutions remain reliable, compliant and ready to support the future growth of our manufacturing operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, coach and develop the PCS & Application Engineering team while building the capabilities needed to support future business growth.

  • Define and execute the roadmap for digitalization and application automation aligned with AGC Biologics' strategic ambitions.

  • Partner closely with managers and directors across Engineering, Manufacturing, IT and QA to deliver robust and compliant automation solutions.

  • Ensure our Process Control Systems and automation platforms remain compliant throughout their lifecycle, including change management, validation, cybersecurity and periodic review.

  • Drive continuous improvements to automation standards, engineering procedures and technical guidelines in line with GMP, GAMP 5, Annex 11 and internal quality standards.

  • Support GMP inspections and audits while staying ahead of new technologies and trends within pharmaceutical automation.

Join a team that values collaboration and knowledge sharing

You will become part of a collaborative Engineering organization consisting of maintenance and calibration technicians, equipment engineers, compliance and qualification engineers, and automation engineers. We solve complex technical challenges together and work closely with colleagues across the Copenhagen site and global AGC Biologics organization.

As a leader, you will have the opportunity to shape both the technical direction and the culture of your team. We believe in empowering people, sharing knowledge and creating an environment where everyone can contribute, learn and succeed.

What will help you succeed

We're looking for an experienced leader who enjoys combining technology, people development and strategic thinking. You don't need to tick every single box, but we imagine you bring many of the following qualifications:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or another relevant technical discipline.

  • Leadership experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

  • Knowledge and experience with Distributed Control Systems (e.g., DeltaV), SCADA, and PLC solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of GMP, GAMP 5, EU Annex 11, Data Integrity and Computer System Validation or Computer Software Assurance.

  • Experience managing the full lifecycle of GMP critical automation systems, including implementation, validation, operation, maintenance and retirement.

  • An understanding of industrial cybersecurity principles and OT network architecture will be an advantage.

Just as importantly, you are someone who enjoys bringing people together around a common goal. You create trust through open and honest leadership, communicate naturally across technical and business stakeholders, and know how to balance innovation with quality and regulatory compliance in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Why build your career with AGC Biologics?

At AGC Biologics, you will join an international organization where science, technology and people come together to deliver life-changing therapies to patients. You will be part of a global environment with colleagues representing more than 50 nationalities, working in a highly regulated and technically advanced manufacturing setting.

We believe strong leadership is built on trust, collaboration and accountability. You will have the freedom to lead your team, influence technical direction and work closely with colleagues across Engineering, Manufacturing, IT and QA in a flat and highly collaborative organization.

We invest in your development as both a leader and a technical expert, and you will have the opportunity to actively shape how automation and digitalization evolve across the site.

At AGC Biologics, you can expect:

  • A leadership role with real influence on automation strategy and digital transformation

  • Exposure to complex GMP manufacturing environments and global stakeholders

  • Close collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, IT and Quality

  • A strong focus on work-life balance, well-being, and psychological safety

  • Strong focus on leadership development and continuous learning

  • A culture built on trust, openness and shared responsibility for delivering quality to patients

Ready to make an impact?

If you are excited about combining technical leadership with people development in a company that helps bring life-changing therapies to patients worldwide, we would love to hear from you.

Please submit your application through our recruitment system no later than 15 August 2026. We review applications on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
