Job Posting Details
The appointee will be responsible for:
- Serving as an Executive Assistant to the Directors of the SKL;
- Carrying out and managing administrative tasks of the SKL, including budget administration and planning in compliance with the University’s financial rules and regulations, follow-up of personnel contracts, and purchase of equipment and consumables ;
- Assisting SKL members in timely preparing research proposals and grant applications to be funded by governmental institutions or industrial partners in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas with all the required documents;
- Assisting in the management and implementation of projects carried out at the SKL;
- Organizing and coordinating conferences, seminars, webinars, promotional events, and laboratory visits, and supporting the SKL brand-building efforts;
- Collaborating with partners at universities and companies as well as government officials in both Hong Kong and Mainland China to promote the SKL;
- Fostering proactive working relationships with faculty members within the SKL, following their research output, identifying opportunities for protecting intellectual property and technology transfer, investigating opportunities for licensing and commercialization, and developing collaborations with industrial partners;
- Providing technology landscape and competitive analysis for SKL projects and developing a commercialization strategy. Actively supporting SKL faculty teams in their technology transfer practices, including assisting in setting up startup businesses in both Hong Kong and Mainland China, securing funding from government and private investors, and identifying resources within the supply chain.
- Performing any other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor(s).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field.
- A minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience.
- High proficiency in Cantonese, Putonghua and English.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
