What you'll do and what you'll bring:
Position Description:
Ball State University is seeking an Temporary Assistant Track & Field and Cross Country Coach for External Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instruction, coaching, and mentorship to student-athletes while supporting the philosophy and objectives of the Ball State Track & Field and Cross Country program.
Coordinate recruiting operations, including recruiting correspondence, visit planning, database management, and compliance with NCAA, Mid-American Conference, and University regulations.
Assist with the program's social media presence, branding initiatives, digital content, and external communications to promote the success of the program and enhance engagement.
Develop and maintain relationships with alumni, supporters, and community partners through outreach initiatives and engagement activities.
Assist in the planning, promotion, coordination, and execution of camps and clinics, including registration, communication, and operational logistics.
Provide coaching support during practices, competitions, recruiting events, camps, and other program activities as assigned by the Head Coach.
Coordinate special events and assist with administrative projects that support the overall operation and visibility of the program.
Maintain effective communication with prospective student-athletes, current student-athletes, alumni, and other program stakeholders.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience as an athlete or coach in track and field and/or cross country at a competitive level
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
