- Augment your comprehensive skillset with expert training across decision-making, change management, leadership, and business development
- Obtain 360-degree support throughout your career life cycle, from early-stage to seasoned leader
About the Role
In this role, you will manage key elements of HARMAN's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) reporting and monitoring processes. You will drive timely, accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of enterprise risk data; support the identification, evaluation, and monitoring of operational and strategic risks; and help leadership translate risk information into clear insights, recommendations, and mitigation actions. You will help develop and improve ERM governance policies, data standards, digital tools, dashboards, and AI-enabled workflows in alignment with HARMAN's ERM framework. This role will also support building scalable AI-enabled capability for finance organization.
What You Will Do
- Manage the operational execution of HARMAN's ERM reporting and monitoring calendar, including risk data collection, validation, quality checks, status updates, and executive deliverables.
- Own day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of HARMAN's ERM (HARMS) tool and related processes, ensuring timely reporting of enterprise risks, mitigation plans, action owners, and target dates.
- Build, maintain, and enhance risk reporting outputs, dashboards, scorecards, and key risk indicator (KRI) monitoring to identify trends, emerging risks, overdue actions, and risk management gaps.
- Gather, integrate, and analyze risk information from multiple source systems and stakeholder inputs; develop concise insights, findings, and recommendations for leadership.
- Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline risk data intake, summarization, categorization, monitoring, and reporting, while applying appropriate human review, data quality checks, confidentiality safeguards, and validation of AI-generated outputs.
- Support qualitative and quantitative risk evaluation processes, including financial impact analysis, risk ranking, scenario analysis, and assessment of mitigation alternatives.
- Provide second line-of-defense risk management support and governance; partner with risk owners to conduct risk assessments and evaluate likelihood, impact, velocity, mitigation effectiveness, and residual risk.
- Oversee identification and tracking of KRIs, mitigation actions, remediation plans, and follow-up items; escalate delays, emerging exposures, and risk management gaps to operational and executive leaders.
- Prepare timely, clear, concise, and high-quality risk reporting for the Senior Leadership Committee and, as directed, the Board of Directors and related subcommittees.
- Maintain and improve ERM framework documentation, standards, training materials, and stakeholder guidance; provide training to new and existing stakeholders.
- Continuously review and monitor the adequacy of HARMAN's ERM systems, policies, procedures, and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Prepare and present oral and written conclusions and recommendations of varying complexity to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support other Corporate Treasury topics related to financial risk management, cash forecasting, risk analytics, and AI adoption.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor's degree, relevant accreditation, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in risk management, data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, internal controls, audit, finance, treasury, operations, or a related field, with demonstrated experience using data across multiple source systems to support reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
- 2+ years of experience in ERM, GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance), operational risk, enterprise reporting, internal audit, or a related risk management discipline.
- Demonstrated proficiency using AI / GenAI-enabled tools to improve analysis, reporting, workflow automation, summarization, and communication; ability to apply sound judgment around data security, accuracy validation, bias and limitations, and human oversight.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze structured and unstructured information, identify patterns and trends, quantify potential risk impacts and mitigants, and convert analysis into practical recommendations.
- Experience developing management reporting, dashboards, data visualizations, and KPIs / KRIs using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Qliksense, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of ERM best practices and governance processes, preferably in a global manufacturing, automotive, consumer electronics, technology, or product company.
- Ability to understand and execute risk-focused processes, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, mitigation, escalation, and reporting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with senior leaders and convert complex risk information into executive-ready messaging.
- Strong project management, time management, and follow-through skills; ability to manage deadlines and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
- Independent critical thinking, sound judgment, teamwork, and ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
