Test Manager

About your role:

Hands-on Test Manager needed for Digital & Transaction Processing aspects for Merchant Acquisition and Payment processing projects within QEA GBS EMEA. Should be very familiar with applications/systems like Portal Testing, ETL/ODI/EDM, switching technologies like BASE24, BRIDGE and usage of POS terminals, card processing and transactions as well have an overall understanding of the Payments processing life cycle.

Will be responsible for managing a set of testers (junior and senior) to get projects/programs completed, lead from the front in terms of technical decisioning and test / stakeholder / client management aspects. Should be able to deal with senior stakeholders within Fiserv in terms of status updates, conflict management and clarifications, explanations/technical discussions and mentor testers. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and a very good grasp of project metrics.

What you’ll do:

• Accountable for planning, deploying and managing the testing effort for multiple projects/programs simultaneously
• Coordinates with project Leads for facilitating project testing effort across multiple applications
• Understands and communicates the scope of testing required to certify projects and desired business capabilities
• Participates in Business Requirements and Detailed Design Sessions. 
• Has a thorough understanding of testing process and best practices. Defines the overall project test strategy and works with the assigned team(s) to execute
• Manage and mentor a distributed team consisting of permanent and supplier test resources
• Support multiple Scrum teams with estimation, planning and strategy for testing FISERV projects and programmes
• Manage all QA phases for the project, including Test Planning, Test Design, Test Execution and Test Closure on the programme
• Ensure QA best practices across project delivery, adhering to all quality best practices as laid out within the QEA GBS organization
• Own activities such as defect triaging from multiple projects if need be and ensuring test packs (regression, smoke) are updated to include new functionality
• Co-ordinate the request and use of test environments for systems across the estate, ensuring best practices for data quality, data consistency and supporting needs of all projects across the programme
• Support the QMO team in collection of key metrics and trends for reporting at a QEA GBS level across projects. Drive Quality on projects utilizing metrics driven data
• Ensures adherence to change management for any testing related scope change
• Manages and accountable for the project/program testing budget, ensuring plan vs actuals are monitored and reported on a frequent basis
• Works closely with the Project/Program Manager on risk and issue mitigation and management
• Ensures enforcement/adherence to Quality Stage Gates, reviewing acceptance criteria for accuracy, clarity and completeness

Experience you’ll need to have:

• Minimum 15-18 years of experience
• Domain expertise in Cards and Payments including Merchant Acquiring is required
• Be fluent in Italian & English
• A proven track record in defect management
• Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and delivery processes (including waterfall and agile methodologies)
• Knowledge of both manual and automated testing along with automation framework definition
• Able to appreciate and manage all stages of testing, including SIT and NFT and provide support as necessary for UAT.
• Able to provide solid direction and path to completion amidst project chaos.

Experience that would be great to have:

• Experience in UK Cards and Payments will be a bonus

Salary starting at €60,300 - negotiable depending on experience
