Position Summary:
Observes all gaming activity including but not limited to, cashiering operations, slot operations, cash handling, and count rooms. In the absence of Surveillance Shift Manager oversees the assigned shift surveillance operations in accordance with established policies and in accordance with Cowlitz Tribe Gaming Compact.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes superior guest service.
- Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
- Digitally monitors activities in the casino, count rooms, slot booths, cashier cages, and back of house areas, and reports all illegal and unusual activity.
- Responsible for the shift operations in the Shift Managers absence.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Must possess excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
- Assists in the training of Surveillance Agents.
- Assists Surveillance Shift manager in supervising activities of the Surveillance Agents.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of casino surveillance department experience in a high-volume, complex casino environment with table games.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
- Ability to work in a secluded, enclosed environment for extended periods of time.
- Knowledge of state regulations, casino internal controls, and casino policy and procedures.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team in said environment.
- Good computer and mathematical skills.
- Must possess strong reading, listening, writing, and visual skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to observe and report in an objective manner.
- Must be able to work holidays, various shifts and flexible hours.
- Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
- Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
