Marshall Community Services is seeking energetic, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Pool Attendants at The Splash! - Marshall Aquatic Park. Pool Attendants serve as the first point of contact for guests by providing outstanding customer service while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all patrons.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, collecting daily admissions, processing memberships, operating the point-of-sale system, selling concession items, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and assisting with the enforcement of facility rules and policies. Successful candidates are friendly, responsible, enjoy working with people of all ages, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

  1. Welcome and greet patrons in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  2. Collect daily admission fees and process memberships accurately.
  3. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, cash register, calculator, and credit card terminal.
  4. Prepare and sell concession items while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
  5. Balance cash drawer and accurately handle cash, checks, and electronic payments.
  6. Explain and enforce facility rules, policies, and procedures to help ensure the safety of all guests.
  7. Answer questions regarding facility operations, programs, memberships, and special events.
  8. Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked admissions area and concession stand.
  9. Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, stocking, and inventory tasks.
  10. Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow staff members.
  11. Attend all required staff meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions.
  12. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisory staff.
  13. Perform related work as directed.

1.  Must be 14 years of age or older.
2.  Must successfully pass a criminal history background check (when applicable).
3.  Provide excellent customer service in a professional and courteous manner.
4.  Work availability must include evenings, weekends, holiday, and special events as scheduled.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
1.   Previous experience working with children or the general public.
2.  Experience handling cash and operating a point-of-sale (POS) system.
3.  Previous customer service or concession experience.
4.  Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail when handling cash transactions.

  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Communicate effectively with patrons, staff, and supervisors.
  • Exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills when addressing customer concerns.
  • Accurately perform cash handling and mathematical calculations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling transactions and patron information.
  • Work cooperatively with coworkers while contributing to a positive team atmosphere.

  • Frequently stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Occasionally lift and carry supplies, concession products, office materials, and equipment weighing up to approximately 30 pounds.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements associated with cashier and concession duties.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and wind.
  • Maintain focus and professionalism while working in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.
  • Communicate clearly with patrons, coworkers, and supervisors in person, by telephone, and over the intercom system.
