What you will be doing:
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Assembly and/or disassembly of MTU and other engines, systems, and components per specification
- Inspect and evaluate components for defects such as breakage and excessive wear based on specifications and drawings
- Recommend core acceptance or rejection based on inspection and evaluation
- Inspect, operate, and test products to validate functionality and conformance to specifications
- Analyze and interpret test results obtained from inspections to diagnose equipment capabilities and next steps
- Position and align components for assembly, manually or using hoists
- Create and implement new processes, fixturing and tooling as needed
- Inspect, rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies, following guidance based on component condition using machines, power tools and hand tools
- Collect, read, and interpret disassembly and assembly blueprints and specification manuals, as well as plan disassembly, assembly or building operations
Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and two years field service, mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced operational ability and skill, as demonstrated by acquiring the points associated with Skilled Based Pay Competency Level 3
- Skilled use of mechanical and electrical hand tools
- Skilled use of measurement and testing tools for mechanical and electrical systems
- Knowledge in technical language and engineering terminology
- Knowledge in the practical principles of electronics, physics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Good factory representation, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational, planning and follow up skills
- Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills when problems are very complex
