We have an opportunity for a Materials Assistant to join their team of staff in the Operations department.

This is a part-time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a shift pattern of 22.5 hours a week covering 4.5 hours Monday-Friday.

The successful candidate may also be required to assist other non-clinical departments to ensure efficient running of the clinic, such as porters and housekeeping teams. 

Duties of this role include:

• You are an active member of the Materials Department, involved in the day to day running of the department.
• Provide an effective and high-quality materials management service to all internal customers.
• Ensure stock availability through the correct order processing and replenishing of pre-approved stock and products for central stores or on behalf of hospital departments.
• Maintain all departmental paperwork and files in good order with reference to accuracy, appropriateness and availability.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of GSCE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
• Customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
