  • Base Salary HEO5 $93,345 - $104,515 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

This is an Identified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Position for applicants of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent. The University of Sydney is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Project Officer (Identified) to join the Faculty of Engineering’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Professional Program. Working under general supervision and with the guidance of a mentor, the Project Officer will provide administrative services to support projects, engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders across the Faculty of Engineering. The Project Officer will be enrolled in a tailored training program to ensure that they have the relevant skills to be successful in the role.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Professional Programme will provide the Project Officer with exposure to a range of Engineering portfolios, for example External Engagement, Outreach, Education, Executive Services, Higher Degree Research Education and Research, enabling them to build valuable skills across the pillars of the Faculty over the two-year period.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • assist with a wide variety of project tasks and project documentation

  • help with financial report preparation

  • support and maintain project data using the record management system

  • maintain transparent communication strategies with stakeholders

  • build positive relationships with project stakeholders.

About you
